No matter if we are inhabitants or tourists, each of us only knows a part of the city called Boston. When exploring the city, we usually follow an established route. Boston by Chance is about subverting this pattern.
The images in the slideshow are all pulled live and at random from Flickr, the popular photo-sharing website. The pictures are tagged with one of 96 keywords, each a lens through which to view the city. The statements displayed are captions written by you - Boston by Chance participants - on the the streets of the city. This slideshow began as a series of generic images with no connection to Boston. By the end of OpenLab, each picture illustrates a specific experience.
Thanks for touring Boston with us, with chance as our guide.
